Is Color Blocking Like Building Legos?

Well I guess it could be like building Legos. Boy I haven't seen Lego's in a long time, do they still sell them? Yes they do but they are much more sophisticated than when I was a little girl. I hope you get where I'm going with this. Color Blocking is building colors on top of each other to come out with something fabulous. My next challenge in the "Rippin' Ain't Easy" sewing competition is about color blocking, so that how this post came to be. Look out for that post coming next week!
The Color wheel
You can use your own judgement
or use the wheel to create a look.
Aurelie &Angelo mixed this vibrant Yellow dress
with a Cobalt Blue shoe & bag to pull off her look.
Below StyleSaint's profile for The Glamourai, shows
the same dress paired with a Cobalt blue
blazer adding a red clutch. Both are fantastic!

Rita Ora got in on some color blocking fun with this two
piece set. Those leather pants are FIERCEness at it's best!
Blond Humor put together a great color blocking post.
I kinda consider this a "Color Matching For Dummies" post.
If you don't know anything about color matching or blocking
you'll walk away a little wiser after reading this post.
Natasha over at Fashionably Fabulous wears this color
blocked maxi. This just goes to show that color blocking
doesn't have to bright colors, muted colors work well also.
Tried as I might I just could not find a valid link for this DIY.
It is on Pinterest but I could not find the owner but I had
to share. This DIY took these shoes to another level and
if you know me I will paint some shoes in a hot minute.
Hey, if you know the owner please let me know in the comments.
Here is another color blocking DIY....Fi-Yah!
Did you hear me? This is another Pinterest find,
if you know the owner let me know in the comments.
This was a Google find, color blocking in Pastels, Nice!
This shows you how to pair pastels with bright colors
shown with this use of this clutch.
These Highlighter colors are brite as hell (I'm sure this
was re-touched with a photo edit) here but they work.
A Cup of Dee made this unique paring.
I'm pretty sure if you follow fashion you know who
this lady is with the red, white and blue color blocking here.
It's Mimi G. I didn't have a link directly to this
outfit because this was from her old blog.
I love anything red, white and blue and she did it so well.

Dior got in on the color blocking game as well.

I love this free flowing Few Moda maxi that
What Lola Likes is wearing. This is stylish comfort
to the max, get it Max, Maxi...I crack myself up!

Carmen over at She Recycles Fashion did this
color blocking so well. She started mono-tone
and threw in a blast of neon and a pastel.
Who knew that could all work together? Who knew!

This Chic chose reds and pinks  to make her
statement. I'm buying whatever she's selling,
good job. (Google photo no valid link)
