Never constructed a collar using bias tape trim, it was a bit intimidating. Went on like a charm the very first try. You are a FANTASTIC teacher! Keep up the good work, I'm following you all the way - seriously!
Lovely!!!! I am glad that you were able to get what I was saying!!! Yay!!
Thanks Sew Sister for the advice....lining will be used for another project:) You are a great teacher!!!
Teeheee, I had to laugh at that. Thanks for the kind words and maybe when I get me a new fancy smancy camcorder I'll drop a sew-along with lining, it's really not hat hard to do.
Thank you so much for this sew along. I'm a beginner and I have learned so much. I never thought I could get this far. I had to take a few days off but I'm back ready to catch up.
GREAT!!!! I am happy to help you learn, that was the mission and now I gots a smile on my face!!! Let me know if you have any questions.
The collar gave me a run. I have the bias tape applied and I will attach it tomorrow. I had to step away for my sanity. Lol
LOL!! Whoooosaaahhh!!! Tomorrow's a new day. The next step is where you really want to take your time to make sure it comes out smooth.
Hello Michelle! With a sick hubby and a hectic job I too fell behind after the first day, however I did have my fabric cut out and marked per your schedule ! :) Thank you so much for doing this instructional video/blog/posting. I am very rusty, and have not made any garments in 10+ yrs. I had a great sew day yesterday and had to stop at the collar, I have never done bias tape application but am confident you will show me the way! I will post pictures of my progress. I will finish, its sew much fun! I am looking forward to future sew-a-longs with you! Sending hugs from Florida! Christine (aka cavanaman on Pinterest)
Christine I totally understand! Keep at it and go slow to make sure you get that bias tape right and share when you are done! Happy Sewing!!
