My daughter Mori had a dress that she wanted to donate to an organization,
so that someone who needed the help would be able to purchase her dress at
little or no cost. She found 'The Fairy Godmothers Inc' and not only did she donate
but we decided to volunteer. We were shocked when we arrived our first day,
to see how many girls were lined up waiting to try on the dresses. We had a
wonderful time helping these ladies. You and I both know teenagers are
funny creatures and I definitely had my share of
laughs during the time I was there.

This is the gown that Mori donated.
This was from her Junior dance at the University Of Richmond...Go Spiders!
This is what I was talking about when I said funny creatures but I love this one!
These are pictures from the two days that we gave back, enjoy!

They had a make-up artist Cynthia Perry on deck.
She is in the Philadelphia area so if your looking for a make-up artist
check her out she was awesome! She provided free make-overs to potential clients.

That's wonderful! We have something like this at our local high school and it makes a world of difference to some young ladies. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteKaren , that's great. I think our schools have a prom exchange type of event. This was a great experience, the families were so so thankful. I get so vested in helping others I wanted to take this one young lady yo the store and buy her a gown because she could not find one at this event.
