OK so I took a trip to the local thrift store to see if there were any re-fashionable items on the racks. I didn't find anything that had me doing back-flips but I did find this $3.00 American Eagle denim miniskirt for Mori. I thought she can rock this with a pair of tights and boots. I washed the skirt (#Ithinkitshrunk #supermini)and she tried it on and I said hmm maybe I can spruce this up a little. I went to Amazon looking for studs thinking I would put silver studs on the front of the skirt. So I bought two bags with 100 pcs in each and I thought, yeah this will be enough to cover the front of the skirt. Um but what I failed to realize was that I ordered the smallest size studs they had and hell to the no, this was not going to cover anything. So since I wasn't trying to pay anymore shipping costs, I had to make due with what I had and this is what you get with 100 Teeny, Tiny studs! Oh yeah I bought the glue on studs because I was not tacking prongs on all these studs. Total cost of this re-fashion was a whopping $7.00 for the garment and the studs..I already had the glue.
I love her smile!
Cool..she is adorable btw..I have some of those iron on studs wondering if you have ever worked with them ..and I got a similar skirt at the Goodwill about that size that I am in the midst of refashioning ..great idea..thanks
ReplyDeleteI don't have the tool to apply the studs with the glue that are on them so I just used my own glue. This is a super easy way to refashion skirt, sequins are great too! Send pics when your done: thatblackchic@gmail.com Thanks for stopping by again!
