Sprinkle a little Silver and this is what you get! Simplicity 1278 [pattern review]

Isn't this fabric GORGEOUS? I fell in love with this fabric at my local shop who does not have this fabric online. Here is an option that would be beautiful for this project. Someone asked how or rather why did I choose this denim fabric for this outfit, because they would never have thought of using denim for this project. WELL let me say this, if you've been following me or if you know me. you know that I use whatever to make whatever. And if you are just now getting to know me, I'd like to tell you that I use whatever fabric for whatever clothing.......there are NO RULES ova here. I like what I like but don't get me wrong I've had a lot of failed projects because my fabric choice did not work out. But then there are sometimes that magic happens like here. So I'll try almost anything once.

This Silver Beauty is on its way home!

  3. Unusual fabric for a vintage set--but then again, that's what originality is all about. I have that pattern too--don't know why vintage styles run smaller.

  10. Love the neckline of this blouse! It does look tricky to sew but it looks great. Beautiful job! Also, I like your idea of putting your PR review on your blog. I'll have to start doing that on my blog. ;)

    1. You know how this match came to be? I was sitting on my stool in my sewing room and I was putting that blouse pattern back in it's envelope. That denim fabric was on a bolt right in my eyesight and I thought...hmmmm
