The story goes they started in the early ‘90s with a hot-dog
stand and now it has become a citywide movement. Chefs all over the town are serving
inexpensive, unpretentious food made in the back of refurbished Airstreams and
concession trailers. The trend is so hot right now that the officials estimate thousands
of mobile food vendors will be crowding the city blocks by this fall.
From tasty cupcakes, taco-and-Korean barbecue,
street eats occupy every niche, and there's always a new, delicious, not-too-much-money-out-of-your-pocket
meal to discover. These food trailer parks are an Austin phenomenon in which
multiple trailers cluster to create a dining destination. #GoogleAustinFoodTrucks
