Sew What? Birthday Sequins for Simplicity 8554
Well hello again, it's been a while since we last chatted! While I'm here making sure to comply with social distancing I finished a few projects. On the top was this sequined beauty for Mori's birthday, she was home for this occasion this year. But we partied in the house and did it in style!
Psst, don't tell anyone but I only picked half of my seams because I got lazy, that's the only reason why this project was a little challenging for me. I broke 2 needles, because of that laziness and the seams that intersected were problematic.
This pattern is a winner for sure, it's a Simplicity "Easy" pattern and if you remove the sequins from the seams you can easily whip up one or two fairly quickly.
Sewing Category: Definitely beginner friendly and for the advanced sewists you can work magic with this pattern as your base or a super quick sew.
Fit Modifications: None, this is an unlined coat that is not fitted it has the ability to work for all different sizes and shapes!
Sewing tips for this pattern: None required, you can probably sew it without the instructions.
Would I recommend this pattern? Absolutely! I've seen it on Instagram a lot and I know now know why. I've had this pattern in my stash for a while and was inspired by the sewing community to whip one up.
