  1. Hi Michelle! I'm a little bit behind but I'm in. Did you say there would be a part two video today - I need to see the pocket construction. I think the pocket is made by just sewing the two pocket pieces together then turning inside out, pressing, slip stitching the opening, top stitching and then attaching to the jacket. Asking because I've never done it this way before???

    1. Faye, yes I am working on getting this up and running. What I am going to do because of what happened with the video is to make tomorrow the OFFICIAL START DAY. I am going to have all the videos for DAY ONE posted by this evening. I am sorry for the inconvenience but it was out of my control. The pockets that I made are exactly as you stated above but my opening to turn the pocket over was at the top so I did a top-stitch across the top and a few inches down as per the picture. I then sewed the pocket to the front. - hope you understand that.

  3. Thank you Michelle. Look; no inconvenience here at all because I spent all of last evening working on that muslin and pre-washing the fabric. I'm actually behind because I didn't get to press my fabric or cut until this morning. I am still in the process of marking so no harm done here.
    Looking forward to tomorrow.

  5. Ok, I'm coming along nicely with my jacket, I still haven't decided on what trim to use, ughh, I purchased too different colors but I will have it figured out soon. I did some homework like some of the other pinners and went looking through my closet late last night.. My Jones NY blazer as well has the Hong Kong finish with topstitch.. My Torrid Jacket has Hong Kong finish on the Center Back and Serged seams every where else; my Style & Co jacket from Macy's is completely serged (center back , sides and sleeves) Can you say side eye. This has been enlightening! I'm super excited and enjoy your personality, it put me at ease! Ok, off to finishing the seams. Until tomorrow!

    1. Quana, I super excited that you're digging my vibe. I ain't too stuffy and I am super impressed look at you, Hong Kong stitches! Do tell which one are you using?? I sometimes use bias tape on my seams it's sorta like Hong Kong but less intensive because I just slide my seam into that double folded bias tape and sew.

    2. Next time, I didn't by enough binding for the Hong Kong finish so the edge finish it is for this go round..

    1. Now Lora why you causing trouble??? You would probably want to nix cutting out the front facing and the back top facing and just cut two of all your pieces, like you're making two blazers and you would put them together like the front facing to attach. Now is your trying to line the sleeves that would be a little more tricky. - Does that make sense?
