Who says Foxes can't be Golden? [DIY Fox Pillow Tutorial]

Isn't this pillow FABULOUS or what? This idea came to mind when I saw a screen printed pillow with this abstract design and decided to make my own DIY version using a fox applique. I promise you that TODAY is the day that you will be able to make this one-of-a-kind abstract DIY fox pillow, just in time for the gift-giving season! OK soooo after this post it may not be one of a kind cause everybody who sees this is going to be making one. But you'll probably never ever see these other people and with the endless fabric combination possibilities, the odds are in your favor for YOUR one-of-a-kind DIY. Let's get started!
PATTERN PIECES [FREE pattern download HERE]
SUPPLY LIST BELOW

Cut out pattern pieces and cut out your fox.
Cut out two 18 X 18 inch squares for the pillow.
Use the adhesive  spray to place the fox on your pillow square. [Any brand adhesive will do, ] You can pin in on if you're not using a faux leather as I did.
Sew your fox applique onto the pillow square. I used a straight 5.0 length stitch on my pillow but feel free to use any decorative stitch such as a zig-zag stitch.
Now it's time to sew on the eyes and nose buttons.
Next step is to sew the pillow squares together, right sides together. Make sure you leave a open space to turn the pillow over to the right side and to add your filling. [Pic below shows the space between the X's that I left open]
Tadaaaaa,  trim your corner seams, turn over and press.
Now to stuff your pillow and hand sew opening closed.
FINISHED!!! Easy-Peazy and most definitely stunning!

  5. Ooo am gonna try this in the future. I will also share on my page. For some reason I have become addicted to DIY home projects. My addiction has not been active but I have saved tons of projects. Working on a cushion at the moment for a charity crafts fair. Strangely I have a craving to make scores of cushions hehe.
