Ralph Lauren ain't got nothing on me! Well wait a minute, let me not get ahead of myself. I love his designs as pricey as they may be, they are #allthatandabagofchips. (who says that now-a-days?) Now I want it to be known that I shop at the Polo Factory Store for my number two son, he is Mr. I can't wear anything but my Polo t-shirt and jeans, all day, every day. Since I shop there I get their mailers and coupons, because let's face it, when the jeans cost $89.00 and a damn T-shirt costs $40.00, I need a coupon to shop there. I received a mailer about a month ago with the new Fall Blue Label looks. I was stunned by two looks in the mailer and I'm thinking to myself I can make these outfits! I wanted to duplicate both for my daughter because I know my limitations and I can't rock these looks like my muse can.
This is the picture from the mailer that I received.
Sooo this will be pattern number 13 of 20, I know people, I'm moving a little slow but life is in the way so just bear with me! McCall's M7014 was the closest pattern that I could find for this jumper, well OK let me rephrase that, this pattern was the closest $.99 pattern that looked similar to the jumper in question. I made a few changes to add in the characteristics of the Ralph dress.
Pattern Description: McCall's M7014 Jumper
Pattern Sizing: I used a size 10 and the measurements were a little small.
Difficulty: Easy Peazy!
Fabric Used: Wool Blend & Faux Leather
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Nope because I had to change it up a little for my inspiration dress
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Sizing was small
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Trimmed down my seam allowance and I changed the neckline and the pockets
Would you sew it again? Yes
Would you recommend it to others? Yes
Conclusion: This was nice easy sewing project and if you don't use wool fabric I say skip the lining.
The making of this hat HERE
My first time making my own piping Ya'll and if I had known
it was this easy piping would be on everything!
Ain't it pretty?
