Sew What? The Giselle Dress that's what! Monthly Stitch contributor

This pattern was the best PDF pattern that I have used thus far. All lines matched up perfectly! the instructions were super easy to follow and just as easy to make. I chose the Giselle dress for the Monthly Stitch because this reminds me of my childhood. This dress is definitely a throw-back from the seventies! I mixed the dresses and added another panel to the bottom of this maxi, and my daughter wanted this to touch the ground, that's why it's so long.

Pattern Description: Giselle Dress
Pattern Sizing: Ran too big for Mori
Difficulty: Easy Peazy!
Fabric Used: Thrift-shop denim dress and floral cotton fabrics
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes with my additions
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the fact that I did not have to add a zipper and the binding for the neckline was a nice touch.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added elastic to the sleeves and a third panel for the maxi dress.
Would you sew it again? Absolutely
Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely
Conclusion: This turned out to be a stunning dress!

I re-purposed a thrift shop denim jumper for the top of this dress. I used the button down from with the buttons and I used the pockets at they were. The floral fabrics were in my stash and it all worked well together, remember it doesn't always have to match!
