Giving back by volunteering: Face Painting the kiddies

It's been over two years since I have done any type of face painting. We gathered the family and all put in time at the Newport Fire Departments Open House. My two sons earned service learning hours required at school, by volunteering  for this event.

Trying out some new faces before Sat

Let me tell you, kids are so funny and
I was cracking up all afternoon.
I met some real characters while painting!
So here are  pics below of  a few faces that I painted.

This kid saw the picture of the blue walrus and said I want that but different.
So I said what do you mean by different, he told me he wanted me to use
like 8 colors and all this other stuff. I said you can pick one color and
we sat looking at all the colors and he decided green.
So here you have it the green walrus, came out pretty cool.

Cutie pie butterfly cousins!

Neon rainbow butterfly for Maddy

This kid was like I want 88 on my forehead and fire on my cheeks.
Naturally I ask what is 88 for and he told me for the fire Truck.
I was like OK and on the fire, I'll do my best. He liked it.

These are old pictures when I was practicing on my kids back in 2009
