This is week 3 for the Build your wardrobe series and your hostess is Erica Bunker. Make sure you check out her post and her take on why you should own a blazer. If you don't have a blazer as a staple piece for your wardrobe, you should get off this computer riggghhhttt now and go purchase one! Just kidding you don't have to go get one right now but in the near future. Erica posted a blazer that she made using Simplicity 1421 and if you have been following me you know that is the same blazer that I used for my sew-a-long. I love this pattern and I have made two more since my sew-along [none for myself mind you] and I am working on a third one made from re-fashioned denim. This is definitely my go-to pattern for a quick blazer.
I have put together a few blazers that were inspiring to me and hopefully they will give you some ideals on how to style a blazer.[The photographs were via a google and pinterest search, I do not claim to own these photographs unless otherwise noted.] You will find a familiar one in the mix though.

Happy blazer shopping or happy sewing which ever it may be, just make it so! LOL!!
[Stay tuned for the finale with week six, that is my week and I will be presenting The Dress Pant.]
Very nice.. I need every single piece in my closet. Honored to be among your inspirations.
