Sew What: A Striped Shirt-Dress That's what!

I bought this pattern  and fabric well over a a year ago and never got to it, alas it is done. A little too late for the summer but it is done none the less. This was soooo easy I wanted to smack myself for not sewing it when I bought it. McCalls' M6556  is pattern #9 of  20 and the easiest thus far. No review necessary there are only two pattern pieces, yes two. I would however make a facing for the neckline next time instead of just turning the hem under, I think it would given the neckline a cleaner look. This pattern has several options to this garment, it can be a short shirt, long shirt or a dress.

  1. I love it with jeans WAY more than as a dress (like on the pattern envelope). It looks comfortable, but classy. Nicely done!
