Chevron on the Walls

OK so I was not hired to do the interior designing for Mori's apt she said it was my motherly duty. I chuckled at her and then I said hell nah it ain't my motherly duty but this is her first apartment so I guess I'll do it Pro-Bono or with the family discount if you will...however you put it I'm doing it  "FOR FREE!" Since she is able to paint the walls we knew it was gonna be turnt up in this beeeoooccch.

So If you've seen my house then you know I'll paint a mural in a hot second so we decided a chevron wall would suit my design well. This was the problem, I truly did not want to measure anything and I wanted to go freehand for abstract chevron's then I thought well if someone who's not really keen to design looks at this will they really get it? So I broke out my rulers and got down to business and guess what, If I ever paint a chevron wall again for FREE it most definitely will be abstract because measuring this was pure torture, seriously. It was the first line that had to be on the money and each line after that was a little better. So this turned out to be a group project because when I was done measuring and taping I said Mori you're doing the painting hunny. She did a great job, even though she was scared. We did good! So I'll show you the wall and more pictures to come when I finish her entire room.

....well since you twisted my arm here is another sneak peek, a piece of her furniture. It's not coming till Dec 12th because they have to make her sofa bed.

  2. Hey, love the chevron wall! Did you see my "you" inspired jumper? You can see it here (http://fayessewingadventure.blogspot.com/2014/11/work-were-thursday.html). I will need to remake the cap maybe today. I made size large and it was way too big. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
