The theme was black and white, it's oh so classic you can neva go wrong with black and white. Mori added a pop of color with the Teal towels. We started this design on a budget with the purchase of her shower curtain from IKEA for $7.00 and it took off from there. The last items we had to deal with before I could put everything in place was the wall art, I couldn't find anything interesting so that's when the DIY light bulb went of. I bought a package of blank canvas and two sharpies and created two masterpieces for this bathroom. All is done, I had fun and she loves it so all is good in our worlds right now!
THE BEFORE
AFTER:COUNTER TOP MAKER OVER
You can make a No-Sew sink skirt. cut your fabric allowing a 1 inch folded hem for the top and bottom that you will use wonder under to keep closed instead of sewing the hem. You will then pleat the fabric along the top and attach it to your counter with heavy duty sticky Velcro. You could also staple it under the ledge [if possible] as we ended up doing on this project for a more secure attachment. [The hems on my skirt were sewn as were my pleats]

DeleteI love the concept of making a skirt for the sink even though there are cabinets underneath. That covered up a whole lot of ugly!
ReplyDeleteYup I agree 100% Katie, super inexpensive solution.
