Owls, Owls, Owls that’s what’s all over these pants. You
may remember my post under DIY when I made these pants?
Well here they are in action. These pants are
just fun pants to wear. They were easy…….everything except for that damn zipper
but I got the hang of that now. If you’re looking to make your own this pattern
was sew-simple (get it!), if you already sew this would be a breeze. Mori loves
the wide legs but had to add to the length to make them cover her shoes, like
she likes them.
Loving the Own theme, the pants look very confortable and the accesories are great as well as the model.LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Love Sonia!
DeleteVery nice and unique
ReplyDeleteThanks Kely Sews! You should have seen the look on the lady when I bought this fabric and told her I was making work pants! LOL!
DeleteLove! LOVE! Love!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you! Seriously, thanks for the love!
DeleteWhere did you get the fabric from? I likey
ReplyDeleteJoann Fabrics. These pants are just fun pants. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteReally cute! I love the owl print! I have been making pants by tracing. You have inspired me try this pattern. I've looked at it and left it many times but you've motivated me to give it a try.

Yeah I used to make my own drafted patterns back in the 80's. I decided to buy a handful of cheap patterns..on sale for $1.99 and get back into sewing. This was an easy pattern but if you don't know how to put in a zipper the instructions will be a little challenging. Got for it and holla at me with a pix!
DeleteOMGoodness! Love them! She is rockin' this look! FABULOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri, she loves those pants , this is her happy outfit.
DeleteThis entire outfit is so cute. I love it. Did you make the shirt, I've been looking for this exact pattern and can't find. Where did you get the owl fabric?
ReplyDeleteThanks bunch Melly all your questions are in the making of the pants post. http://www.thatblackchic.com/2014/07/diy-sewing-back-to-basicsgimme-break.html#.U8XsMvldVHU
DeleteI did not make the shirt. Thanks for stopping by!
These are absolutely gorgeous!! You did an amazing job!! I am a beginner sewer as well and patterns give me the blues LOL!! I love the color scheme!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the love Sista! Don't be scared, the pattern was easy but the directions for the zipper were a little challenging for a beginner. They have a lot of easy patterns now a days. I bought 20 when they went on sale for $1.99. It's my goal to complete them all by end of the summer.
DeleteYour not gonna find these pants in any store, that's for sure. I love the entire look. It's so so fresh.
ReplyDeleteI agree you ain't gonna find these nowhere except in my daughters closet! Thanks so much Charmaine!
DeleteI can't even find the words to say how much I like those pants! You are so creative in your fabric choices!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I knew I was taking a chance with this fabric but it paid off.
DeleteI want this one! you hear me Michelle???
ReplyDeleteYeah I hear you. I'm all over it!
